Student Council News at CHMS - 2003-2004

Our Student Council provides, performs and sponsors many events including four school dances each year and is presently collecting non-perishable food items to be donated to various food banks in Naugatuck. The food drive will run until November 21, 2003. Pennies for Patients will be started soon in the cafeteria during all lunches. Proceeds will be donated to different charities or the needy.

City Hill’s Student Council recently helped the Veteran’s Council place American flags on the graves of former veterans in honor of Veteran’s Day. Several council members worked side by side with Mr. Matos and other veterans to be sure every deceased veteran would have a new flag by November 11.

Student Council members paint tiny pumpkins to put in a decorated goodie bag for the Head Start students for Halloween. The children received their treats with bright smiles and lots of enthusiasm.
